E-COMMERCE EXECUTIVE
Join The Bike Shed as an eCommerce Specialist and help us grow our online shop. You'll be working closely with our small team to boost our online presence and increase sales.
What You'll Do:
Help with the optimisation of bikesheduk.com through PPC campaigns, engaging and optimised website content, and email marketing.
Develop strategies to increase traffic and sales across our website and social media.
Analyse sales data to improve advertising and conversion rates.
As we’re a small team you’ll also be required to be a bit hands on. Processing online orders, liaising with couriers, and responding to customer enquiries via e-mail and telephone.
What We're Looking For:
Organized, analytical, and technically skilled.
Good at multitasking, problem-solving, and long-term planning.
Your Responsibilities:
Define and help implement digital brand strategies.
Create and manage content and marketing campaigns across social media, email, and our website.
Manage paid marketing campaigns.

Support social media and blog growth.
Work with our SEO manager to improve our search rankings.
Your Experience:
Experience in eCommerce advertising.
Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital advertising.

Experience in the bike industry is a plus
Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
Good at working with different teams and partners.
You don't need to be an expert but a passion for bikes is required.

The opportunity has arisen for a full-time member of staff to join our team, with the responsibility for managing and processing online orders, and further developing this growing area of the business.
The role will involve both the routine daily packing and dispatch of orders received - both bikes and accessories, together with associated customer service, website administration and the longer-term development of the online retail business, including sourcing of new products and development of new sales channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Pick, pack, and dispatch orders received via The Bike Shed website, telephone, and eBay.
Quality check bicycles and prepare them for delivery.
Liaise with Royal Mail/couriers to book and prepare items for collection.
Respond to routine customer enquiries via e-mail and telephone.
Identify non-routine customer enquiries and escalate as appropriate.
Handle all returns, organising replacements or refunds as necessary.
Monitor listings and update website descriptions and images.
Assisting with social media accounts - answering queries, creating content, and occasional photography.
The successful applicant might have previous sales order processing experience. Candidates from other backgrounds, including recent graduates, will also be considered on merit.
We are looking for someone who:
has a good eye for detail and accuracy

FULL TIME: EXETER CITY • EXETER OUTTA TOWN • CREDITON
The ideal candidate will have experience servicing and repairing all bike types. We will also consider applicants from other mechanical sectors such as motor vehicle technicians. Training courses will be available for the right candidate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carrying out services on all bike types to a high standard
Carrying out warranty work in conjunction with the warranty manager.
Building new bikes and carrying out pre-delivery inspections
Establishing customers’ needs, booking in jobs, and managing the workshop schedule
Monitoring stock control and ordering product using b2b websites
Our workshops are in public view and you will be required to interact with customers and occasionally help on the shop floor. For this reason, additional responsibilities include:

We're looking for enthusiastic, friendly, customer-focused people with experience talking and negotiating with customers – knowledge of bikes is preferred but not essential.

Welcoming and assisting customers in-store, on the phone and via email.
Build long-term relationships and loyalty with customers by providing advice and knowledge
Presenting to the customer in an engaging and friendly manner
Maintaining excellent retail standards keeping the retail displays and shop floor clean and tidy
Using EPOS system and basic computer skills
Continually developing product and industry knowledge
Processing payments and handling cash including reconciling till
Fitting customers to bikes, providing the appropriate size, and in time developing knowledge to provide in-depth cycling biomechanical assessment and consultation for the customer

Bike Assembly: Construct bikes with precision, adhering to the highest standards, and perform all necessary checks and inspections.
Preparation for Delivery: Box bikes efficiently, ensuring they are secure and presentable.
Accessory and Documentation Inclusion: Confirm that all bikes are equipped with the necessary chargers, accessories, and relevant literature.
Customer Communication: Manage communications with customers about delivery and collection times.
Additional Duties:
Order Fulfillment: Assist with the handling of website orders for accessories and components. This includes locating items in our warehouse or at one of our four stores, packing them securely, and arranging courier services.
Customer Interaction: You will primarily work in the shop/workshop environment, which involves regular interaction with customers.
Maintenance Skills: A basic understanding of bike maintenance is preferable for performing simple repairs.
