Bike Shed Santa Ride 2025 – Everything You Need to Know!
Our much-loved Santa Ride is back for 2025 — and we’d love you to join us for another unforgettable festive pedal along the Tarka Trail! Whether you’re a regular rider or dusting off the bike for a seasonal spin, this feel-good event is all about community, Christmas cheer, and raising money for a brilliant cause.
When is it?
Saturday 20th December
Ride starts at 10:30am
We recommend arriving a little earlier so you have time to sign in, collect a suit (if needed), and get into full Santa mode!
Where does it take place?
We’ll be meeting at Bike Shed Barnstaple, then heading out together on a fun, gentle ride down the Tarka Trail to Instow.
It’s a flat, relaxed route suitable for most riders — and even better when you’re dressed as Santa!
How do I take part?
It’s simple:
- £5 donation to enter
- £5 donation for a Santa suit (available at Bike Shed Barnstaple from today)
Just pop into the shop beforehand or purchase on the day.
Festive Treats at the Finish
At Instow, you’ll be greeted with mulled wine and a mince pie — the perfect reward for a festive ride with friends, family, and fellow Santas.
Last year over 50 Santas joined us, and together we raised £500! Let’s see if we can top it this year.
Raising Money for FORCE Cancer Charity
All proceeds from the event go directly to FORCE Cancer, helping support local people and families affected by cancer. Riding with us means you’re helping make a real difference.

Kids, adults, families, friendship groups — the more red suits the better. The ride is social, steady, and suitable for a wide range of riders.
