The HERO 20” kids pedal bike is designed for children with an inside leg measurement of 49–64cm (approx. 4–7 years old). Weighing only 7.95kg, this lightweight kids bike is built with a strong yet light aluminium frame, upright riding position, and optimised crank length for efficient pedalling. A great choice for kids ready to explore further on roads, paths, and light trails.
A comfortable riding position is key both on the flats and the uphills. This translates into a geometry that is optimised to allow a leaned-in position and a narrow Q-factor to cater to children’s narrower hips. The lower handlebar position offers more stability, balance and control making it quicker and easier to learn.
We use short-reach, adjustable brake levers to make it easier for children with small hands. We also use narrow child-friendly handlebars and contoured grips for improved handling and control.
Given that so many children learn on balance bikes, they are ready for a comfortable, sportier riding position. Our riding position and crank lengths and gearing are all designed for maximum efficiency as we want children to love their HEROs as much as we loved designing them.
The MicroSHIFT Acolyte shifter takes the learning curve out of changing gears. Designed to be as simple and intuitive as possible: index finger makes it harder, thumb makes it easier. Add in a crystal-clear gear indicator, microSHIFT’s signature light yet positive action, and enough gear range to climb any obstacle; its perfect for children using gears for the first time.

Simply arrange a convenient time with your local store and our bike mechanics will give your bike a thorough check and tune up to ensure you're riding as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Your free service needs to be taken between approximately 6 weeks and a maximum of 3 months from the date of purchase.
