Details matter when you're designing a bike for young riders. The Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie SLX's Magura MT Thirty hydraulic disc brakes, for example, aren't just powerful. They also feature excellent lever adjustment, so they can be set up perfectly for small hands. Combined with the 19mm-diameter handlebar and the easily adjustable air suspension fork, it's the kind of thing that can make all the difference. A remote dropper post will help give their confidence a boost, and big volume 2.35in Schwalbe Hans Dampf tyres have the grip they'll need to build their riding skills. And, with pedal assistance up to 20km/h from Bosch's lightweight SX drive and 400Wh battery - delivered via Shimano's smooth 1x11 Cues gears - there's plenty of extra shove on tap for fun family rides.
Frame description
From its Advanced Internal Cable Routing to its Boost rear axle and UDH gear hanger, the Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie's frame is bursting with exactly the same kind of attention to detail as our adult mountain bikes. The lightweight Bosch SX drive and fixed 400Wh battery sit snugly in the frame, providing up to 55Nm of pedal assistance to a maximum speed of 20km/h, plus full compatibility with the optional 250Wh PowerMore range extender. It's even dropper seatpost ready and SIC 2.0 compatible, for easy fitting of a luggage carrier. And, with the included kickstand, your youngster will never struggle for somewhere to park it.

Applications usually take just a few minutes, and you’ll often receive a decision quickly.
Once approved, you can e-sign your agreement or print and return it. Goods are dispatched once your signed agreement has been received and processed.

Who can apply?
You must:
- Be 18 or over
- Be a UK resident (minimum 12 months)
- Work at least 16 hours per week, or be retired with an income
- Have a UK bank account
Unfortunately, finance is not available to residents of the Republic of Ireland.
When do repayments start?
Your first repayment will be taken approximately one month after your purchase has been delivered.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. There are no arrangement fees or hidden extras.
What happens if my application is declined?
Applications are assessed using credit scoring and checks with credit reference agencies. If declined, you may reapply after 6 months, as circumstances can change.

Simply arrange a convenient time with your local store and our bike mechanics will give your bike a thorough check and tune up to ensure you're riding as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Your free service needs to be taken between approximately 6 weeks and a maximum of 3 months from the date of purchase.
Please note: To qualify for the free service you are responsible for bringing your bike into a store. Unfortunately collections are not possible.
