Join us in store for two evenings with Dr Andy Middlebrooke, and learn the best tips and tricks on how to train for a sportive!

These talks will explore the basics of training for a spring/summer cycle sportive, no matter if you are a complete beginner or a seasoned pro! It will explain everything you need to know, from the difference between an interval session and a tempo ride to the myths of carbo loading and protein shakes, sports science expert Dr Andy Middlebrooke will provide you with a no-nonsense guide to preparing effectively!

Dr Andy Middlebrooke has over 20 years experience in the exercise and sports science sector, with a PhD awarded from the University of Exeter in 2002. He has presented research at many prestigious National and International conferences and published work in scientific peer-reviewed journals. Andy has provided sports science support to Polar explorers, International athletes and UK Athletics supporting British, European and World Record holders and Paralympic medallists.
