Light, lighter, lightest. When saving every gramme is the goal, every single detail matters. We knew that choosing our premium C:62 carbon was a good start, but the Cross Race C:62 needed something special to set it apart. The answer came from an unusual direction: our engineering team decided to route cables internally via the head tube, rather than the usual down tube routing. This approach fulfilled two goals. First, it created an incredibly clean look and eliminated any cable rub. And second, it meant we didn't need to reinforce the down tube to the same extent, saving even more weight. For the Di2 cabling we use custom inserts, but they can be swapped if you decide in future to run a mechanical system. Combined with the full carbon fork and race-bred geometry designed for quick, nimble handling, the Cross Race C:62 is proof that the devil really is in the detail.

When the cyclocross bug bites, you'll want a bike that's up to the task. That's why we created the Cross Race Pro - a perfectly balanced, affordable and adaptable machine that's ideal for winter training, racing or exploring beyond smooth Tarmac. Our understated Superlite aluminium frameset and carbon fork deliver nimble handling with comfort and agility, backed up by unique design details and the reliability of Shimano's iconic 105 gears and powerful hydraulic disc brakes. It's ready to ride... and race. Are you?

Cyclocross bikes are a unique breed. Stiffness and steering precision are both must-haves, so we added 12mm through axles front and rear and specced a carbon fork that's been specifically designed to cope with the rigours of cyclocross. To add a dose of comfort we made sure that slender seatstays and the carbon fork blades were capable of filtering out vibration. Internal cable routing prevents mud and water from interfering with gear shifting, while the ergonomic top tube is specially designed to make shouldering the bike more comfortable. And of course, the entire high-performance aluminium chassis makes use of our Superlite Advanced 6061 aluminium alloy and mechanical tube forming process.

Adaptable X12 Hanger

We optimized our new dropout design based on the Syntace X12 through-axle system, enlarging the area of the frame where the hanger is mounted. We can now fit the longer Direct Mount hangers. Shifting precision and stiffness is therefore improved. With the new design, it's also possible to swap the whole contact area of the axle with the hanger should the system be worn out.

Advanced Hydroforming

The new STEREO, FRITZZ and HANZZ models are built using Advanced Hydroforming. Conventional hydroforming processes cannot achieve these custom shapes and technical advantages. As this manufacturing method reduces the number of welds, the weight is reduced while durability is increased. All

Aluminium Superlite

Extremely high tensile strength heat-treated 7005 aluminium alloy is developed for the highest requirements. It is very stiff, fatigue resistant, corrosion resistant and has high elongation. Our Superlite tubes are double butted, giving very light tubesets with a high level of stiffness.

Integrated Cable Routing

Internally routed cables offer many advantages. Cables are protected from dirt for longer life, weight is saved thanks to the absence of external housing and the bike has a clean, sleek appearance.

Press Fit BB

With Press Fit bearings, the bottom bracket bearings are pressed directly into the frame and not screwed in as usual. This gives a wider bottom bracket shell and allows us to build a wider down tube and more broadly-spaced chainstays. Every millimetre of additional width gives a significant improvement in lateral stiffness.

Smooth Welded

This elaborate procedure with doubled weld seams has two advantages: On the one hand, it improves the firmness of the weld seams and minimizes the load peaks on the tube welds through energy flow and on the other hand, it helps the frame to a better and more organic look due to the smooth and hardly noticeable welds.

Tapered Steerer

This steerer tube design is stiffer than a conventional straight steerer and yields a more secure ride feel even in difficult terrain. Minimal flex at the front of the frame means the greatest possible steering precision. With the larger steerer, the forks become more rigid. At the same time weight is saved due to the absence of bearing shells as the lower bearing is fully integrated into the head tube. On all of our CUBE carbon models, the upper bearing shells are also directly in the frame, so that once more a few grams are saved and the energy transfer is very direct.

Wet Paint Surface

On polished, brushed aluminium and all HPC frames, the logos and graphics are applied in multi-layer wet paint. We use this surface treatment technology mainly to save weight.

X12 Through Axle

In this system, a cone is used to form a play-free connection. It is only necessary to tighten the axle from one side. The position of the wheel is done by an insert in the right-hand dropout which is secured by a bolt. The main advantages of the Syntace system are quick and simple changing of the wheel, reliable position of the brake disc and higher stiffness of the rear of the bike. This allows the assembly to be made lighter than a conventional through-axle.

How do I determine the correct frame size?

      1. Measure your inside leg:

The step length is the length of the inside of the leg. The best and most accurate measure of your stride length is by using a spirit level and a tape measure. If you have no spirit level to hand a book or similar works as well. Now, position yourself barefoot (!) on a flat surface and clamp the level (or the book) as level as possible between the legs and pull it upwards until it becomes gradually unpleasant. Now measure the distance from the top of the level to the ground. The reading corresponds to your stride length.
      2. Determine the right frame size:

        • For a Road bike: Multiply your inside leg by a factor of 0.665. The value that you get is the theoretical frame height in cm. For a Triathlon bike subduct 3cm of your value.
        • For a Mountain bike: Multiply your inside leg by a factor of 0.226. The value that you get is the theoretical frame height in inches. Multiplied by 2.54, you get the frame height in cm.
        • For trekking bikes: Multiply your inside leg by a factor of 0.66. The value that you get is the theoretical frame height in centimeters. Multiply by 0.259 to get the frame height in inches. With suspension seat posts deduct about 5 cm (or 2 inches) from the theoretical size. If your value is between two offered heights, apply the following rule of thumb: Choose the smaller frame size for sporty driving style. A larger frame results in a more comfortable seating position.
      3. Determine the framesize by your body size:

Alternatively you can determine your framesize also about your body size. However, the method of the step length is more accurate.
