Jimmy
Jimmy has been riding bikes since he was 4. He started as a home mechanic and bike builder from the age of 16. Started riding BMX from 18 and has progressed from there. Jimmy is a Cytech Level 2 qualified mechanic.
Only been riding MTB for 2-3 years (really enjoying it) and I'm really impressed with my riding level in the few years I've been riding this style.
What equipment?
He rides a custom built BMX designed for light street riding. He also built a custom mountain bike, which is really light, but big enough for DH/Freeride and he also has a road bike for commuting.
Off road he tends to wear skate shoes, which gives him the perfect grip and can be used all day. Tough free ride shorts and jerseys are a definite recommendation from him. He also wears pads as standard and carries a large free ride pack for all his trial building tools.
Most of his time is spent with his son and family at home. He invests a lot of spare time trail building and landscaping as well as reading proper books.
Other spare time bits include:
Home mechanics on all his bikes, keeping fit, and designing his own tattoos and of course digging trails.
