2011 MTB Events

We've just had the details of this years main mountain bike events in the South West. There's plenty going on this year and we hope to take part in as many of them as possible ourselves if we're not too busy working hard!
Soggy Bottom XC Race Rd3 - Newnham Park Plymouth - 13th March
The 3rd and final round of Newnham Park's winter crosscountry race series. Always a fantastic course and plenty of categories for anyone from 12 years old to 50+.

Urban Downhill - University of Plymouth - 26th March
Annual charity urban downhill event through the university's grounds in support of St Luke's Hospice.

Barnstorm Indoor Super XC - Wheeldon Farm, Totnes - 23rd April
A new indoor 2 minute eliminator style sprint race. Looks like a fun event for those who like to go flat out and elbow to elbow.

Circus of Dirt XC Race Series - 5 Rounds
The South West's Summer XC race series. 5 rounds on 10th April, 1st May, 3rd July, 7th August and 3rd September. The final round also includes the South West Championships.

Haldon Evening Series - Haldon Forest - 3 Rounds
A 3 round XC race series at our local trail centre up on Haldon hill, a perfect introduction to cross country racing. There are two races at each event, a 40 minute race and a 60 minute one.
