Brand Showcase - Wilier

Wilier Triestina are an Italian bike brand and have been an important part of Italian bike history since they founding in 1906. Their trademark colours are red and copper and they are viewed as one of the most stylish bicycle companies around. They have close links with a lot of the Italian component manufacturers and you'll often see their bikes adorned with Campagnolo groupsets and colour matched FSA equipment.

They have a long history in racing as well taking victories in most of the major races around Europe and the world. This shows in the feeling and handling of their bikes which always have pinpoint handling and a sense of urgency about them. The Lampre team are Wilier's current Pro Tour team and you'll see their brightly coloured bikes in all the big races.

Wilier are best known for their road and time trial bikes and their bikes are very highly regarded in these areas but they do also produce a few mountain bikes and hybrids. Being a smaller company than some of the large American brands they often aren't afraid to offer something a little bit more unique and on the cutting edge of technology. They were for example one of the first companies to offer an aerodynamically designed and tested road frame. They have also recently released the unique Twin Foil TT bike with an extended dual pronged airfoil fork and are always investigating new carbon technology such as the viscoelastic material bewtween the new Zero.7's carbon layers.
