Clyst Vale School, Station Road, Broadclyst, Exeter, Devon, EX5 3AJ
The 2017 Autumn Series comprises of two different routes.
The first is a 30 mile anniversary route utilising country lanes between Broadclyst and over to Broadhembury. The route then goes to Kentisbeare on to Clyst Hydon, over to Talaton and back to Broadclyst. There is one refreshment stop.
The second also goes to Broadhembury and then heads up for a circuit incorporating Churchinford, Hemyock and Dunkerswell before re-joining the anniversary route back to Broadclyst. The route has one refreshment location utilised twice on the route.
Hot drinks will be available at the start / finish point, with 1 light feed station along the route, which will be utilised once for the 30 mile route, and twice during the 55 mile route.
Entry is £15 per rider for the 30 mile route, and £20 for the 55 mile route. Sponsorship is not compulsory but donations are very welcome both on the day and via the Force Donations Page.
This ride will be capped at 800 cyclists.
You will of course need a bike, and the best type of bike for this event would be a road bike, however a hybrid bike or a touring bike would also be suitable. You will also need a helmet, and suitable cycle clothing. As the event is in October, you may want to prepare for the worst of Britain's weather, so some good waterproof gloves, a rain jacket, and perhaps waterproof cycling tights.
The Bike Shed are proud to support local cyclists, local cycling and your local cancer charity.
